Matt’s “I don’t have time to write the June blog” Blog.
What’s up ya Movie Mates? I’ve got some good news and bad news this week. Good news is that Inside Out 2 has been rockin’ the house, the bad news is with the increased attendance and time spent working on all the great events coming up, I won’t have time to write this month’s Blog.
I’m just way too tied up with setting up events like the June 29th Comedy show featuring a host of talented comedians with headliner “Pierre” from the movie “How to be a Player”. Forget about having time to even mention the July 12th Hip-Hop party featuring Chubb Rock. Keeping track of all the tickets for those events, which can be bought at “Thecomedyexplosion.com”, also takes up a lot of my time.
Our first Nightmare Nights monthly horror movie hosted by local comedian Joe Tuzzi kicks off Monday June 24th with a showing of “Tremors” followed by a cocktail/discussion hour. AND of course, our weekly Tuesday night “Open Mic Night hosted by my “buddy” Nick has been jumping off with a bunch of new weekly acts.
We are also proud to be hosting the U.S. Red Carpet Premiere of the new Dan Lantz film “Cash Storm” on July 13th with live Q&A with cast and crew after the movie followed by a cocktail hour. These red-carpet premieres are a great chance for local actors, directors, and even film students to come and network.
If that’s all not enough, we are also going to be hosting our first ever “Delaware Valley Filmmaker’s Showcase” on August 17th. This is also another great chance for local filmmakers and Film students to not only submit their movies but also come network with other like-minded Individuals. I was able to take time out of my busy schedule to set up ticketing for these events which can be purchased through our website “Oakscenter.net”.
With all these great events coming, I literally don’t have time to talk about the movies already on sale. I will have to wait until next month to tell you that tickets for “Deadpool and Wolverine”, “Horizon: Part 1”, “Twisters”, Despicable me 4” and more are on sale now on our website and Fandango.
I know I have a responsibility to the Oaks Center Cinema guests to inform you of all these great events and I deeply apologize for not writing a June Blog. I know that by not writing these blogs you might miss out on knowing about our $1 “Summer Kids Film Series” on Mondays and Tuesdays at 11:00am and our Value Day on Tuesdays when tickets are only $7.
I sincerely apologize to not only our Official “Vice President of Blog Development and Relations” but to the millions of readers and Oaks Center Fans. Please know that while I am not able to write this month’s blog, I am committed to working diligently to keep bringing these great special events and movies.
