So much to love this February

My Dearest Movie Mates,

I write you this blog in hopes that it finds you and your family in good health. It has been many moons since last our paths have crossed, but my adoration of you all has never wavered.  As Valentines Day approaches once more, my heart is filled with all of the great times we have shared over the past few years.  While I cherish our past, I look forward to our future. A future full of living, Laughing, and Loving.

A wise man once said, “Each new movie is a whisper to future generations, a symphony of stories intricately woven together that shapes our history.” I say to you my dear Movie Mates, will you share in this legacy of movie going experiences that our forefathers fought so hard to defend? Will you rise up against the tyranny of streaming services and corporate theatres and bring glory back to Independent Cinema? We stand now at the precipice of greatness and history will remember us as Legends of Cinema, may the popcorn of our enemies go stale, and their soda go flat!  It will be a long and arduous battle my friends but as the GM and your fellow Movie Mate, I promise you, to the victor go the spoils and we shall be Victorious!

But anyway, Captain America is coming February 14th just in time for your V-Day date night! We also have a whole slew of stuff for ya’ll in February. All of February is half priced Arcade Games, the only catch is you only get to play half the game and then we shut it off. Don’t forget, every Tuesday is Value Day with $7 tickets. In February, every Wednesday is BOGO fountain drinks just for Movie Mates!

Aside from the great movies coming out like Captain America, Heart Eyes, Love Hurts, Paddington in Peru and much more that can be found on Oakscentercinema.net, we got two very cool events coming up this month. SNL 50th anniversary celebration on Sunday February 16th on the big screen for free! Aaaaand DVF Short Film Showcase on February 22nd…not for free. Not everything can be free guys but this is one is definitely worth it. I got to screen most of the submissions and I was thoroughly impressed by all of the talented local film makers. Come on out for the DVF Showcase and support the local talent, what else do you have to do? Its cold, dark, and Football will be over by then! The DVF showcase is hosted by none other than Director Dan Lantz!

Well that’s all the time we have left for tonight’s show. Stay Safe out there Movie Mates and may the Birds be with you! Go Birds!
